Your command of self-expression is so authentic. The way you describe everything and everyone recaptures my own journey. I was smiling when you went through that migraine from hell. I love your writing. Thank you.
Holy cow, this is well written and spot on! I have a sleeping grandbaby on my lap so I’ll come back later to say more. But let me just say, “Fuck those people!” The thought of them hurting you in this way from manipulative incompetence to attempted murder by poisoning to narcissistically nearly taking your life pisses me off!
Exactly! I think a lot of us want to see the good in others too. That combined with breadcrumbing (and love bombing) makes it easier for us to excuse and/or ignore the bad behaviour. It’s just a bad day when we know they’re capable of better, right? (That was my downfall lol)
Yes ma’am!! We are paying attention and we’re keeping log. I feel sad knowing what we’ve put up with in the past…but joy that we’ve learned. And that you’re writing your way through it 🤍
Hell yeah! That’s the sweet spot, isn’t it… having empathy and compassion for what we’ve experienced and the joy that comes from learning. There’s no unseeing it— there’s that moment when you realize you *can’t* ignore those red flags anymore— and it’s glorious!

Love you ❤️
Love you too ❤️ Enjoy your time with the grandbaby!!!
I suppose the bright side to this is; I’m some kind of modern day Rasputin who somehow managed to outlive all the things that should have killed me. 😂
Love this! How many times do we take someone toxic behavior cause we fall for the guilt trip!
